Forming A Committee For
Defiance Without Violence
- Energize, Organize And Mobilize -
Dear fellow Americans, Europeans and Iranians,
The World's current economic and political atmosphere has reached
a highly explosive state, almost at a point of no return. We,
the people of the world need to unite more than ever before to
defuse the time bomb of our own making: dictatorships, environmental
degradation, poverty and our world's massive human rights and
economic plunder of people with no voice.
For so long millions upon millions of people have been and still
are victims of the criminal and imperialistic strategies, conducts
and phony rhetoric preached in defense of false and misleading
democracy all over the world. Institutions such as the World Trade
Organization, World Bank and IMF, paved the road for Globalization,
or the silent takeover of natural resources, formation of modern
slavery and robber-baron mentality by the American and European
Nation-Less Corporations. These are well-known facts and realities
of life, recognized even by the most illiterate people of the
world. From Latin America, to Africa and Asia, there are many
unhealed scars, lingering signs of mental and physical damages
and injuries, testimony of colonial plunders. It is time to change,
and those who try to resist change and interfere with the inevitable
establishment of world-sweeping human rights, equality, fair and
just systems of government, shall forever rest in the trashcan
of history.
We, the people, have to become organized, active and vocal to
express our non-violent thoughts and peaceful solutions before
George W. Bush attacks Iran, thus forcing Iran to retaliate. Iran
is not Iraq, or Panama, or Granada. An attack on Iran in any form
or shape will lead to, if not World War III, but very close to
it. Nobody wants that, except the warmongers, weapon manufacturers
and their shareholders.
Recently from the US President to members of his cabinet and a
variety of so-called think tanks, all are calling for the terrorist
ruling mullahs in Iran to stop enriching Uranium and to abandon
plans for building nuclear weapons! The US is threatening not
to allow the terrorist ruling mullahs in Iran, under any circumstance
to reach the point of nuclear fuel production capability. Too
little, too late! Makes one wonder where were these people for
the past thirty (30) years!
Iran's nuclear activity began almost thirty (30) years ago, and
since India and Pakistan tested their atomic bombs it became more
evident. In the past year, two (2) strong suspect earthquakes
shook Bam and Kerman, parts of Iranian southern territory, which
are not on any fault line. These suspicious earthquakes look more
like underground testing of atomic bombs by the terrorist ruling
mullahs, carelessly destroying Bam and Kerman, killing thousands
of people, sadly a typical terrorist mullah behavior.
If the current US administration is sincere and serious about
helping the Iranian people in their struggle to achieve democracy
in Iran, they should take the following recommendations very seriously.
1 - The US administration must understand that bullying
Iran and constant direct and indirect threats against Iran has
an adverse affect and strengthens the mullahs' position, thereby
discrediting US democracy encouraging rhetoric in regard to
supporting Iranians in their struggle to achieve democracy.
A brief review of the Iran Iraq war and the reasons why mullahs
wanted to extend the bloody war, paints a crystal clear picture
of Iranians' strong sense of nationalism and criminal mullahs'
ruthlessness. The barbaric ruling mullahs have betrayed Iranians
/ Persians before and are doing it again, using foreign threats
as an excuse to crush objective media and democratic movements,
thus prolonging their corrupt regime.
2
- The US administration should stop threatening Iran with
military strike and exercise better judgment and control over
its foreign policy. US must caution Israel to stay out of this
matter completely and remind Israel the historic fact that the
very same Persian people that Israel is in such a hurry to bomb
and kill, saved Jews from total annihilation, not once but twice.
A little gratitude and appreciation wouldn't hurt.
3
- The US should publicly apply pressure on the conscience-less
corporations and governments to stop their twenty six (26) year
support of the terrorist mullahs' regime.
4
- There is only one way to truly support Iranian democracy
activists, and the Iranian / Persian people. That is through
constant media attention to be given to the past and present
barbaric activities of the mullahs' terrorist regime. Constant
media coverage should also be given to the Iranian / Persian
freedom-loving activities all over the world.
5
- We urgently need to form a unifying committee to energize,
organize and mobilize the Persian / Iranian people. The committee
would be responsible to produce an inclusive and unifying declaration
of independence on the basis of which, we, the Persian / Iranian
people shall take our country back.
6
- We can easily transform the upcoming Iranian election
into a national referendum, as many courageous Iranians within
Iran are already calling for, provided, we are able to offer
a democratic alternative to avoid any power grab and power vacuum.
In our current circumstances, the focus should be on how to
take advantage of this opportunity to unify the opposition groups
and strengthen our coordination to weaken, and bring down the
mullahs' regime.
7
- Forming a transitional unifying committee would in effect,
lead to the avoidance of chaos, power vacuums, and provide a
roadmap, an alternative governing system to the Iranian people
inside Iran for a non-violent and peaceful transition to democracy.
We need the formation of this transitional unifying committee
to avoid chaos and power vacuums, but even more importantly,
to assure that there will be a "representative" government when
the mullahs' regime falls.
At the same time, to significantly increase the chances of success,
we must work from a platform of democratic principles. Democracy
is not something to be imported or exported. We, the Iranian /
Persian people are the creators of democracy for our own country
and we must do this for our children and our country. We have
suffered enough. We have blamed enough. Our only salvation is
to put aside our grievances, reconcile, and join hands. We are
in this together, and we must build our future together. US bombs
are not the answer to our problems. US bombs will strengthen mullahs'
position, regime and destroy any chance of establishing democracy
in Iran.
Therefore, We, the Iranian / Persian people have set aside our
differences in order to begin building a bright and promising
democratic future for IRAN.
We, the Iranian / Persian people say YES to regime change in Iran,
through a non-violent referendum in Iran, by the Iranian / Persian
people, and say NO to WAR against IRAN.
On the path to democracy, Iranian / Persian people cannot fight
two different fronts at the same time: the terrorist mullahs on
one side and the foreign interventionist forces on the other.
We, the Iranian / Persian people can easily initiate and undertake
the necessary democratic changes through the upcoming Non-Violent
referendum in Iran, so long as the European and American Nation-Less
Corporations, stop interfering and stop supporting the terrorist
mullahs' regime in Iran.
As an act of solidarity, we, the Iranian / Persian people ask
of our fellow freedom loving Americans and Europeans to join us,
and demand for an immediate halt of all government and corporate
support to the mullahs' regime in Iran and freeze of all their
bank accounts.
It takes such small efforts on our part, the people, just one
(1) hour, and one (1) dollar a day, to verbalize a peaceful resolution
for all to rally around and encourage government and business
officials to take the sensible, just and peaceful course of action.
To that conclusion, to start with, I would like to humbly suggest
a full-page advertisement in major newspapers.
Declaration Of Independence
The long awaited political breakthrough and opportunity is now
in reach, a chance to unite, organize and build an Iranian national
consensus between the exiled Iranians / Persians, and our fellow
compatriots in Iran / Persia. The criminal ruling mullahs of Iran
miserable failure, in all aspects of social governing procedures,
coupled with the mullah's deceitful selection of their new puppet
president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in the rigged election of June
2005, plus mullahs relentless quest for nuclear development, at
all costs and harm to the Iranian people, in a deliberate pursuit
and hope of a direct conflict with the rest of the world, in order
to prolong their heinous existence has become a strong unifying
factor for the Iranian / Persian people, to act for a peaceful
and evolutionary social and governing changes in Iran / Persia.
Therefore, we, the Iranian / Persian people, hereby - Declare
Our Independence -, and our rights to determine our future, thereby,
we all agree that, under no circumstances, religious ideology
shall ever play a role in Iran’s national sovereignty, social,
political and economic future. Under the banner of national sovereignty,
we, the Iranian / Persian people have come together to take our
country back. - To that conclusion, we all agree that, only Iranian
/ Persian people reserve the right to determine their social and
political future, and that Iranians' / Persians' Well-Being must
always come first.
We all agree, to hold these truths to be self-evident, that all
human beings; consisting of, - the womankind, and the mankind
-, are equals in all aspects of human rights, under the superior
power and wisdom of common sense, based on ethical standards,
endowed by Mother Nature with certain unalienable Rights: - amongst
which, are life, liberty, pursuit of knowledge and happiness,
right to property, human rights and gender equality.
We all agree that, to secure the rights
of all Iranians / Persians, government shall only be instituted
by, and among the Iranian / Persian people.
We all agree that, the democratically
elected government shall always derive its just powers from the
consent of the Iranian / Persian people only.
We all agree that, it is also the fundamental
right of the Iranian people to alter or abolish any government,
whenever it becomes destructive and abusive of the principles
of Iranian / Persian people's life, liberty, pursuit of knowledge,
right to property, human rights and equality.
We all agree that, only the Iranian /
Persian people shall reserve the right to institute a new government,
laying its foundation on the inherent principles of life, liberty,
pursuit of knowledge, right to property, human rights and equality.
We all agree that, this new grass-root
political movement, shall be free of any religion, and function
only based on an innovative, liberating and visionary platform,
governed by the unmatched and superior power of reasoning, common
sense, ethical and honorable means of providing for, and managing
public safety and social equality.
Iran's salvation, pride and liberty,
Freedom in the horizon, emerging near,
Unity, promising endless possibilities,
Promising national sovereignty, this year.
Peacefully,
Bahram Maskanian
